It’s also been slightly repositioned. It Uses a New Movement (Sort Of) Rolex. The cal. 3135, in use in no-date Subs since the 1980s, has been updated with the cal. 3230.

Crown: Rolex adapted its water-resistant, screw-down crown design from the 1920s — which used a gasket and a receiving tube housed within the watch case — for use on the Submariner. The Twinlock system made use of two O-rings for a water-resistant seal, while the more modern Triplock system from the 1970s uses an additional O-ring.The Rolex 124060 is a contemporary icon that builds upon the legendary dive watch's rich heritage. Introduced in 2020, this no-date Submariner model features a slightly larger 41mm case, an upgraded movement, and refined aesthetics.
