I have in the collection also a YM blue dial, a GMT II Rootbeer and a date just. I don’t want to keep both submariner because i think they are simply redundant. My first Rolex was a DD, followed by a YM and a GMT. The Submariner date was my 4th choice. Sure I like my 116619LB but it does not give me the same wow feeling as i.e. my latest GMT CHNR. Luckily it has polished center links to brighten it up a little. I just prefer the more visually pleasing watches.

Although judging by this forum and YouTube, most watch enthusiasts are obsessed with symmetry and prefer not to have to set a date when rotating watches. A Submariner contains no date and is just called a Submariner. If a Submariner has a date, it is referred to as Submariner with date. It is not called a no-date Submariner. I got my 41mm date in September 2020. I love the symmetry of the no date, but the date just gives it that extra pop. Congrats on your new purchase!
