Hi all, as a few of you know I didn’t have the best start with the B50. I had the first customer watch in the UK and went through several replacements whilst Switzerland tried to resolve the various issues. Breitling UK and the London Boutique were very helpful throughout, but understandably I eventually lost confidence in the watch.
I bought a new Cockpit B50 a little over 2 weeks ago and really like the look and feel of it and the way it sits on my wrist. I have set all of the functions to use little power and am surprised at how little the battery is going down. I love my B1's and Aerospace watches but I think I may want a Cockpit B50.. So does anyone know a definitive answer to which watches were affected by the crown unscrewing problem and update needed? I am able to purchase a B50 well maintained and fair price.
I have had both the B55 and B50 with no battery issues whatsoever. My current B50 Cockpit Night Mission retains a charge for over 2-weeks with standard use on my wrist - the backlit display being the biggest hit to the battery.
Also titanium, plenty of features, TC quartz and having tried both it felt slightly better finished than the Breitling and much less bulky. There's also the Solar Impulse version with blue and green highlights if you want something a little more colourful.
